THE SUMMER GLOW FOTD

September 01, 2016

Despite the weather being pretty great for the past week or so summer will soon be leaving us. But if you're like me you want to keep that summer glow going for as long as you can. So I have bundled together my best glow-giving, summer-vibe products together to create my ultimate summer glow face of the day.

When I want to go all out with the glow I like to start with the Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Sheet Mask. This is a great 15 minute mask to use to give your skin that instant glowy look while keeping it smooth and hydrated throughout the day. This is the kind of product that's going to give you that natural glow as opposed to relying on highlighters and luminzers.

For foundation I just like to use anything light and dewy, I find that the Bourjois City Radiance Foundation is perfect. This evens out my skintone without giving me a super full coverage finish - it's just right. Don't let the term radiance put you off, this foundation is just dewy. I wouldn't say there's any shimmer in it, it just delivers a brightening and dewy effect. For concealer I have to go with my all time favourite Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer because it instantly brightens up my under eyes and hides my dark circles.

I feel like the key to a glowy makeup look is using a lot of cream products as opposed to powders so I have ditched my usual Hoola bronzer for Dew The Hoola - it's liquid counterpart. The colours are not similar, I would say the liquid is a bit lighter and a little more orange but blended out it still gives you a bronzed look. For highlighters I use a mixture of Benefit's Sun Beam and the Collection Speedy Highlighter on the high points of my face but not going too overboard as I normally would as with using all these cream products I can easily come to look greasy. Then for blush I patted a little of MAC Ladyblush onto the apples of my cheeks for a rosy flush.

Obviously keeping my eyebrows how I usually do them I love putting Maybelline's Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze all over my lid to keep it neutral and light. Finishing the whole look off with a few coats of Mascara and whatever lip product I decide to use that day.
