best neutral eyeshadows

When it comes to eyeshadow it's neutral or nothing for me. I don't own a single eyeshadow that isn't brown or has some kind of neutral hue to it. A burnt copper shade is stepping outside the box for me. Part of me wants to let loose in Sephora and pick up some crazy coloured shadows to incorporate into my makeup routine but at the same time I know that although my intentions are good these said eyeshadows will never, ever be used. So stick to neutral shadows I will.

I promise after this post I will (try to) stop talking about this Too Faced Eyeshadow Palette. Despite only owning it for little more than a couple of weeks it's been heavily included all over my social media and I feel like I have a habit of talking about something until everyone's sick of it (ahem Tarte Exposed). In short this eyeshadow is the thing of dreams for me and anyone else that has a thing for natural shadows. With the exception of the two dark, glittery shades, the shadows blend like a dream. All the colours are just beautiful to take you from your most basic everyday look to a deep, rich brown smokey eye.

In the base department you probably know that I love me a Maybelline Colour Tattoo, and Creamy Beige is no exception. This light brown-beige shade is the perfect base for any brown eyeshadow look, not only that this is what I use for a wash of colour over the lid when I don't want to do anything else with my eyes. I feel like this shade is quite similar and does the same kind of thing as MAC Groundwork Paint Pot but without the shimmer. It's just the perfect all-over-the-lid shade, what more can I say.

And then my final favourite is a bit out of the whole neutral box but I love it nonetheless, the Stila Single Eyeshadow in Jezebel is such a beautiful burnt orange shade. But despite leaning on the orange side the brown hues in this shadow keep it natural and easy to incorporate into your average makeup look. Just adding a little bit of this into my crease really changes up the whole look. This would be a great addition to an Autumn eyeshadow look - perfect!
