TRAVEL DIARY: LILLE & BELGIUM

August 07, 2016

So last Sunday me and my family went on a quick trip over to France, mainly because I needed to check in to my accommodation at Uni but we decided to make it into a mini holiday. Despite being there to see Lille I didn't really take many pictures. We got there in the afternoon on Sunday so just walked around the cobbled streets and ended up in a restaurant in the main square. I only took my kit lens with me for my Nikon d3100 and I am honestly so happy with how all these pictures have come out, so lesson learnt not to forget about your kit lenses that come with your DSLR camera.

On Monday we went on a trip to Bruges, Belgium which is about an hour and a bit away from Central Lille. I took so many pictures on this day because Bruges was seriously one of the prettiest places I've ever seen, I would totally recommend anyone going there. It was a really nice, clean atmosphere so I really enjoyed my visit there. Not to mention that I had the best waffle of my life, I mean damn it was good. Me and my family all got one and I have to say chocolate and strawberry is the way to go.

We took a boat tour around Bruges on the canals which was only €8 per person and was definitely worth it as the boat drivers are locals so you can learn a lot more than you would from just walking around

I had a lovely short trip exploring Lille and Bruges, and had a quick pop in a Sephora - haul coming very soon. I can't wait to explore more of Lille in a month and hopefully take a trip to Bruges during my study abroad.
