high end makeup products

Recently I have been investing a little more into my makeup, gone are the days of me going into boots or superdrug and getting as many things as I can with my limited budget. These days I like to save throughout the month and then treat myself come the end of the month. After a few months with this new spending mindset I have accumulated some new favourites that are really awesome, along with some old favourites that have been shown around these parts more than a few times.

I am ashamed to admit I am not all that into skincare products, give me money and I am far more likely to get a new blush then splurge on a cleanser. But the Kiehls Ultra Facial Moisturiser was definitely worth the splurge, at £24 it's certainly not the most expensive skincare product out there but requires a bit more saving then your usual drugstore moisturiser. I love this product so much I even dedicated a whole post to it here where I spoke about it in much more detail. In short this lightweight moisturiser feels like heaven and kicks dry skins butt which together makes it the moisturiser of my dreams.

My go-to face duo of late has been a combination of the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in fair neutral and the Makeup For Ever HD Foundation in Y215. The Makeup For Ever foundation is a great everyday foundation. They have found a happy medium of having just enough coverage to cover any problems while still feeling like skin, I'm in love! I like to apply it with a sponge, and if I remember correctly I heard that this foundation was actually made to be used with a sponge, true or not the sponge blends the foundation like a dream. The UD concealer has been the best concealer I have tried so far, drugstore and high end. I think it's the colour that makes me love it so much, the shade is so brightening which is perfect underneath the eye. And like the foundation it covers up everything you need without feeling thick and dry underneath your eyes.

I feel like I have found some real high end gems when it comes to the blush department. My all time favourite being the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed that has been my favourite for over 2 years now, the love is real. This is the ultimate every day neutral blush that I really think would look good on everyone. If you don't own a high end blush and are looking into one to get your hands on this is the one that I would recommend. Another more recent find is the NARS Blush in Deep Throat. This was my first NARS Blush and controversially I didn't go for Orgasm, the cult favourite, as I thought it was a bit too pink for my skin. Deep Throat is a much more softer pink that has more of a golden sheen rather than shimmer like Orgasm which makes it much more subtle and wearable. The formula is really nice as well, not crazy pigmented but just right that application is easy. I'm already on the look out for my next NARS blush!
