I think by now most of you heard about the infamous Makeup For Ever Ultra HD Foundation, it's safe to say it has achieved cult status. Despite hearing things about this product everywhere I never really knew what kind of foundation it was going to be, I had this idea that it was going to be super full coverage but this is definitely not the case.

So lets start off with price, this foundation is a lot more pricey than your average drugstore foundation, costing £29. However is still similar in price to things like the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation and NARS Sheer Glow. I got this in Sephora while holidaying in France and it worked out a bit more expensive but I don't know of any stores near me that stock MUFE.

This foundation has a pretty light consistency, not feeling thick at all when applied to your face. I have found that the best way to apply this is using a sponge just because I much prefer the finish. The coverage is a light medium I would say, but being lightweight and thin it is very to build up into a more medium-full coverage which is what I like to go for. The only downside of this is that I feel like I have to use a lot of product and it doesn't really go a long way. I normally use 2-3 pumps of this to completely cover my face and build it up to my desired coverage which is a lot more than I would usually use so I'm worried about using it up really quickly.

The important thing for me is how it looks on the skin, am I the only one who can overlook a foundation feeling a bit iffy if it looks amazing on the skin? What can I say, we have to make sacrifices right? I am happy to report that this foundation delivers on both appearance and comfort. It feels so good on the skin, super comfortable and sits really nicely under makeup - even a couple of layers later. It also looks so good, which I expected from it being a HD foundation that is supposed to look undetectable on the skin even on a 4K camera.

I have to say I really am smitten with foundation, granted it's not the foundation I would reach for when I want a really full coverage but for everyday this is perfect. On the days when you just want to be quick one layer of this foundation will do the job but then you can build up the layers easily depending on the look you're going for. So to sum it up this foundation is worth the massive hype that surrounds it and is definitely something to try out for yourself. Any foundation that can be easily built up and keep a natural medium coverage for every day gets a big thumbs up from me.
