What Brow Product Is Right For You?

April 29, 2016
I have always invested a lot of time into my brows, I've had dark thick brows for as long as I can remember and they are kind of my babies. I won't let anyone go near them, I've thought about getting them threaded so many times but can't bare the thought of looking into the mirror after a threading session and being faced with super skinny brows. I would 100% cry.
That being said I have used a shed load of brow products, I have experimented a lot and have a lot of different products that are constantly in rotation. There are so many different formulas when it comes to brow products and it's hard to know what formula is best for what so let's break it down.
Pencil: I always use a pencil on the tail of my brows where the hair is quite sparse. I don't really like using a pencil to fill in the brows, more just to create an outline and then use something else to fill it all in. If you have pretty sparse brows naturally a pencil is good to draw in some fake hairs and to make your eyebrows look thicker but not completely painted on.
Brow Pencils to try: Maybelline Brow Satin, Anastasia Brow Wiz, Soap and Glory Brow Archery Pencil and Brush, Urban Decay Brow Beater, NYX Micro Brow Pencil
Powder: This is my chosen formula to fill in my eyebrows after I've outlined my brows with a pencil. I use an angled brush to get the powder on my brows. Using a powder is the best thing to use if you want a super natural brow that still looks filled in and precise. If you have pretty full brows naturally a brow powder is just the thing you need to neaten up your brows and fill in any sparse patches, if you haven't got naturally thick and full brows you won't be able to achieve as much using this method, unless you wet your brush before dipping it into the powder.
Brow Powders to try: Freedom Brow Powder, MAC Brow Duo, theBalm Brow Pow, Billion Dollar Brows Brow Powder
Pomade: I feel like pomade is kind of the newbie when it comes to brow products, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow was the first time I had even considered using a pomade or cream for my brows and I have totally got behind the bandwagon with this. This is perfect for people who don't have very full brows naturally as you can really easily fake full brows and don't have to worry about it fading at all. This formula is a little tricky to get used to at first because it is easy to go too over the top but with a light hand you can still create a super natural look.
Brow Pomades to try: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade, Freedom Brow Pomade, MAC Fluidline Brow Gelcreme, Maybelline Brow Drama Crayon, NYX Tame and Frame Brow Pomade
