Trying Out Seventeen Makeup

March 29, 2016

In a recent post I talked about how I picked up some products from Seventeen to try out as I had never tried anything from the brand before, I've been using these products for a bit now and have definitely formed an opinion on them.

The one thing that I really wanted to try was the Define and Conquer Contour Kit which are the two swatches on the far right. What interested me the most is the matte highlighter which is very different and perfect for people who don't like a crazy highlight. For me I love to pack on my shimmery highlighter so wouldn't use this alone but I've found that I love it for setting under my eyes as it really brightens up my face. The bronzer is a beautiful warm colour which I wouldn't use as my contour shade but looks great when used over the top to warm your face up.

I also picked up the Brow's That Brow Kit which only comes in one shade and is for people who have darker eyebrows like myself, if you have light eyebrows this kit definitely won't be for you. This is great for people who want to have everything they need in one place, it comes with a tinted brow wax, a brow powder, a highlight shade for the brow bone, a brush and an eyebrow pencil. I really love the colour of the powder, it's a great cool toned colour which looks so much better on my eyebrows than a warm toned shade, the highlight shade is gorgeous as well! I'm indifferent towards the eye-liner and the brow wax, the wax isn't really pigmented enough to do anything and I don't really like the colour of the liner but that isn't too much of problem because I can still use them both, they just aren't my favourite to use. I do find myself taking this around with me a lot just because it's handy to have all the brow products you need in one place.

Finally I got the Make Your Mark Eyeliner Pen which I wanted to try because I find that eyeliner pens are the easiest thing to use. And I really liked this, it was super easy to use and the shape of the pen made it simple to get a crisp wing. However the colour isn't very pigmented and it's already dried up! I don't know if I got a bad one but I have had this for about 2 weeks and it's almost completely dried up which I'm disappointed about. If any of you have tried this did you experience the same problem?

I love the contour kit and the brow kit is pretty good too but was not impressed by the eye-liner, have you used anything from Seventeen before?
