An Everyday Eyeshadow Look

March 22, 2016

I've never really been that into eyeshadow, I have a couple of palettes that were lying at the bottom of my makeup drawers that were hardly ever touched apart from every once in a while if it was a special occasion and I was really putting a lot of effort into my makeup. It was never a daily occurrence. But recently I've started incorporating a simple mixture of shadows to create the perfect natural every day look that makes you look a bit more put together and also adds a bit of shimmer to your face which is always welcome.

The main purchases that have got me into wearing eyeshadow are my two new Morphe brushes which I have been obsessed with recently. I have the M505 and the M441 brushes and they make my eyeshadow look flawless every single time, I never had any eye brushes that really blended out shadow but now everything always looks perfectly blended with the help of these brushes.

In the look you see above I used the lightest shade in the Collection Eyes Uncovered Palette in Nude all over my lid, up to my brow bone. Then used MAC Kid Eyeshadow to lightly define my crease and act like a transitional colour, so I blended it above my crease as well then just used a mixture of all the darker shades in the Collection palette and made sure everything was blended out. For a bit of shimmer I used Mary Lou Manizer on my lids, I really need to get a new favourite highlighter because even I'm getting sick of talking about this so much!

Then as you can see I just finished off the look with a quick coat of mascara. This is my go-to natural makeup when I'm in a rush and don't have time to put my winged eyeliner on but still don't want my eyes to look completely bare.
