If You Haven't Tried These Already You Need To

February 25, 2016

We all know that there are some products that get hyped up to the extreme when they are first launched then kind of disappear after a couple of months and you never hear anyone talk about them again. Well here are some products that have not only been hyped up by so many people but are actually staples in my collection and are so good.

For the base it's all about the L'Oreal True Match Foundation, a lightweight and blendable foundation that offers great coverage and actually feels nice on your skin! hooray! I have tried so many foundations that, sure, look nice on the skin and gives me good coverage but feel like they don't set properly and feel tacky and oily throughout the day. This kind of dries almost matte but looks dewy if that makes sense. The colour range is pretty damn good as well, they offer a wide range of colours that all come in neutral, warm and cool. There are so many foundations on the market that I cant use because they have the wrong undertones. I need something with a neutral undertone and I finally have this, if you struggle with finding the right colour for you skin you need to try this.

Sticking with the base products, up next is the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer. Now I haven't had this for that long, maybe a couple of months but I can already say that this is probably the best concealer I have used so far. It's lightweight and doesn't crease under the eyes but delivers super amazing coverage, what more could you want! I have the shade fair neutral and although it highlights my face really well I am starting to think that I should have gotten the light neutral shade as it will fit me all year round whereas fair neutral will be unusable when my skin starts getting a bit darker in spring and summer.

This is the product that got me into highlighting, and I have never looked back. The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer is the perfect shimmery highlighter that looks flawless on the skin. It's the perfect shade that isn't too golden which I love because when I apply highlighter I want something that is just going to give me a straight up glow, no colour wanted. I heard about this for such a long time and never got around to actually getting my mitts on it, but it's seriously so good. If you are into highlighting your face, which I mean come on you should be, and you haven't found 'the one' then this product is the best thing to start with.

Liquid lipsticks are so 'in' right now, with the launch of the Kylie Jenner kits and basically every brand on the market making basically every liquid lipstick shade anyone could ever ask for. An old favorite that came out before the massive craze, well I think it did, is the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets which are really nice creamy liquid lipsticks that dry matte. The colour range is really nice, I have the colour Don't Pink Of It and it's a beautiful nude-pink colour that would look flattering on a lot of people. I have completely sussed out the way to wear these and not have them flaking away straight away, it's all about exfoliating, lip balm, application and then more lip balm. If you're lips are dry don't even bother because I have learnt there is no way to make liquid lipsticks look good on dry lips. But if you're looking to get started with liquid lipsticks, or just want some more to add to your collection then these are great.
